Dr Kumara Siriwardena

Dr Kumara Siriwardena is an obstetrician and gynaecologist practicing in the Westmead and Norwest areas. His rooms are located within Westmead Private Hospital.

As a highly skilled and experienced obstetrician he has delivered many hundreds of babies. He will make you feel at ease and answer your questions and concerns in a friendly and unhurried manner. During your pregnancy you will have the opportunity to discuss the preferred mode of delivery as well as pain relief in labour. Your health and that of your babies are his highest priorities.

Dr Siriwardena has trained as a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist at Westmead Hospital Sydney after obtaining his medical degree from Monash University Melbourne with Honours.

He was appointed as a visiting medical officer of Western Sydney Area Health Service in 2001 and has been in private practice since 2001.

Currently, Dr Siriwardena holds the position of Chairman of the O&G Department at Westmead Private Hospital. He has also conducted the GP shared clinic at Westmead Hospital between 2001-2009. He has admitting rights at Westmead Public Hospital where he delivers his high risk obstetric patients. He also delivers babies at Westmead Private and Norwest Private Hospitals.

Dr Siriwardena is currently a senior lecturer at the University of Sydney and is actively involved in teaching medical students from the University.

He has a public operating list at Westmead Hospital and a private operating list at Westmead Private Hospital.

Dr Siriwardena is also an experienced gynaecologist whose expertise covers a wide range of gynaecological conditions.
